For a project we are developing we are looking for small cameras. At this stage we are producing some conceptual protypes and would therefor like to use off the shelve cameras. We’re developing a device to take pictures of teeth. The cameras therefor will have to enter the mouth. This puts a very strong constraint on the size of the camera.

The (draft) requirements we have are:

• Camera 1:
• Wide field of view 80°
• Focus distance: 20mm
• Depth of field: 10 mm (+/- 5 mm), more is better
• Resolution: 1000 x 600 or better
• Size of detector PCB: 10 x 10 mm
• Color
• Shutter type not important, but global is better.

• Camera 2:
• Narrow field of view 12°
• Focus distance: 140 mm
• Depth of field: 50 mm (+/- 25mm), more is better
• Resolution: 1000 x 600 or better
• Size of camera not important
• Color
• Shutter type not important, but global is better.
